What is the Defense Base Act and what does it provide in terms of insurance?
DBA Insurance is considered workers' compensation insurance for contractors working outside the United States on US military bases or under a contract with the U.S. government for public works or for national defense. If a contractor is injured or suffers loss of life, Defense Base Act insurance picks up the cost of recovery and/or lost wages.  In short, it provides confidence in your workforce so they can focus on the mission.
Does my company need DBA insurance?
Maybe.  If your company has employees engaged in employment related to or involving US Government contract(s) outside the United States, including U.S. citizens and residents, host country nationals and local hires as well as third country nationals, then you will must obtain DBA insurance.
